As members of the US Green Building Council, Dewberry LEED Accredited Professionals provide energy-efficient, environmentally-responsible designs. Construction phase work with an emphasis on commissioning is a priority.

Dewberry was responsible for all site electrical design for this project, which includes a 17-acre stadium, parking for 15,000 cars, a wastewater treatment plant, a commuter-rail MBTA station, and assorted other support facilities. Power is provided by a dual 13.8 kV primary voltage system to service a connected load of 22.5 mVA. This includes a 500 kW 277/480 volt substation for site lighting.

Freedom Square Small 

One and Two Freedom Square
Reston, VA
One Freedom Square is a 450,000 square foot, 20-floor office building designed by SmithGroup of Washington, DC. Two Freedom Square is a 450,000-square-foot, 16-floor office building with two floors below grade, also designed by SmithGroup. Dewberry was responsible for the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, fire alarm, and controls engineering.

NASD Decoverly Hall
Rockville, MD
Decoverly Hall is the National Association of Securities Dealers' regional headquarters and mission-critical corporate facility. It is a 265,000-square-foot office building with five floors. Dewberry was responsible for the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, fire alarm, and controls engineering. It was designed by RTKL Associates of Washington, DC.

One Franklin Square

One Franklin Square
Washington, DC
This large project includes 670,000 square feet of office space, 30,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space, and 300,000 square feet of garage. IBM occupies half of the site as the main tenant. Dewberry was responsible for the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, fire alarm, and controls engineering. The building was designed by Hartman-Cox of Washington, DC. Dewberry served as architect-of-record.

Westin Riverwalk Hotel
San Antonio, TX
This 350,000-square-foot luxury hotel has 14 floors, 485 rooms, and a ballroom, junior ballroom, meeting rooms, and offices. Dewberry was responsible for the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, fire alarm, and controls engineering. The building was designed by SJKB, Inc. of Houston, TX.

TowerOaks Flagship-small

Tower Oaks Flagship
Rockville, MD
The Tower Building, a 280,000-square-foot highrise building, won the ASHRAE Regional Technology Award and the AOBA Green Building Award. Although the building was designed prior to the US Green Building Council LEED program, the building will generally meet or exceed the LEED requirements for HVAC system efficiency and indoor air quality. The building is owned by The Tower Companies and the Abramson Family. The architect was Kishimoto Gordon Dalaya.

Dewberry designed a new hydronic HVAC system for hot water heating, with provisions for future connections to an external chiller plant; a new domestic plumbing system using the existing hot water heaters; a new sprinkler piping and fire alarm system; electrical design for all new systems, as well as new lighting and outlets; and the sizing of a new emergency generator.
