For decades, one of our key missions in this service area has been quality engineering simplifies construction. The practical impact of this philosophy is to provide detailed and coordinated drawings so that the extra effort on paper pays multiple dividends for the owner during construction. We have maintained a strong reputation with our clients by providing quality engineering design and consistent trouble-shooting; helping to solve even the smallest operational problems; and taking a 360-degree view of the facility to ensure our work integrates seamlessly with the campus master plan.

Our Chapel Hill, NC, office is dedicated to being healthcare engineering experts. Our professionals strive to remain current on codes that are relevant to healthcare engineering; and have multiple employees who are LEED Accredited Professionals and/or are members of the Certified Commissioning Authority (CxA), ASHRAE Technical Committee on Healthcare & Hospital Ventilation, and the NFPA 99 Committee for Electrical Codes.

In addition to design services, we provide study and analysis services, including analyzing design alternatives, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems, and evaluating energy conservation opportunities.  We maintain a wide variety of sophisticated testing and recording instruments which prove useful in our study work and in conducting the extensive fieldwork necessary for retrofit design.
