Dewberry’s GeoFIRM system produces the cartographic product (a FIRM panel) directly from the database. We are completely geodatabase-focused during our production process; we create complete, accurate spatial datasets, which are used as inputs to our automated cartographic tools, creating final, printable map products.
Automated mapping tools allow the user to:
- Create paneling schemes
- Create and manage raster catalogs
- Create state plane and UTM tics, grids, and annotations
- Automate the creation and placement of feature-linked annotation
- Automate the creation of the printed DFIRM panels
- Export DFIRM-compliant database deliverables
