The Mayo Clinic's Dan Abraham Health Living Center Recognized with Gold The Mayo Clinic’s Dan Abraham Healthy Living Center in Rochester, MN, was given a gold award by the Association of Licensed Architects Midwest Chapter. The three-story, 115,000-square-foot facility is one of the largest in the United States and serves Mayo Clinic employees, students, volunteers, retirees, spouses, and domestic partners. It was designed jointly by PSA-Dewberry and St. Paul, Minnesota-based BWBR Architects. (December 2007) |

PSA-Dewberry developed a planning document that city and civic leaders used to illustrate the city’s commitment to bringing about public improvements of the highest quality in downtown Tulsa and to revitalize the area. Route 110 Bypass Honored The Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA) recognized Dewberry's Virginia Route 110 Bypass project as an outstanding transportation design-build project under $50 million. Completed in November 2004, the project design involved relocating 3,500 linear feet of a six-lane highway along with many utilities, and adding three new bridges, several parking lots, retaining walls, and multiple security and aesthetic enhancements. BQE Reconstruction Receives Best Of 2005 Award Dewberry, as a subconsultant to URS, received the Project of the Year for the highway and roadway category in the “Best of 2005” awards from New York Construction for the $252 million Brooklyn-Queens Expressway Reconstruction project. Dewberry provided condition inspection, and prepared environmental documents, and preliminary and final design plans, specifications and estimates for nine bridges and all 50 retaining walls (19,000 LF). Madison Streetscapes Project Wins First Place Award The New Jersey Society of Municipal Engineers honored the Madison Streetscape Project with a First Place Award. Dewberry was responsible for design and construction phase engineering services on this complicated streetscape project. The project consisted of demolition work, installation of new brick paver sidewalks, new colored concrete curbing, and reconstruction of existing basement ceilings and hatches in the sidewalk areas. |
