Concerning the Program

This department provides the following accredited degree programs:

• Bachelor of Landscape Architecture

The department also takes part within the interdisciplinary Land Use Planning, Management, and style program resulting in the Physician of Philosophy degree (see College of Architecture section).

The landscape architecture program instills in students the fundamental abilities and understanding needed to go in the profession within the public or even the private sector. This program stresses physical design and planning both in natural and concrete conditions. Students are needed to intern within the offices of registered landscape designers, organizers, or allied professionals throughout a minumum of one summer time just before the student's senior year. Offices and class facilities are situated within the Plant Science Building and galleries have been in the Agriculture Pavilion and also the CASNR annex.

Minor. A small in landscape studies includes 9 hrs of needed courses (LARC 1302, 2302, 4302) and 9 hrs of directed electives (from LARC 2401, 2402, 2404, 3401, 4100, 4311). Approval of department chair is needed for enrollment, along with a grade of C or better is needed for every course counted toward a small.

Graduate Program
