
The Pop Art movement reflects around the cult of celebrity, commodity fetishism, and media reproduction that broken everyday existence within the publish-war era and is constantly on the shape our cultural understanding. A main sign of Pop Art was the dialogue between design and art, that is now being investigated within this exhibit - organized through the Vitra Design Museum - the very first-ever comprehensive exhibition around the subject. Functions by artists for example Andy Warhol, Claes Oldenburg, Roy Lichtenstein, and Judy Chicago are combined with design objects by Charles Eames, George Nelson, Achille Castiglioni and Ettore Sottsass. This exhibition shows how design was, in some instances, the lead impetus in Pop Art. This exhibition requires a more in depth consider the Pop phenomenon: the migration of motifs between art and style the connection between everyday object and image and just how everyday existence came intoxicated by popular culture.
